The Travellers

I wrote this poem for K on May 7, 1991. It was a belated anniversary poem (our anniversary was on October 29th) for our 4 1/2 year anniversary. Yes, she made me count halves.

The Travellers

Life isn’t easy
and neither is love
and there will be times
when the water gets rough
and there will be times
when we’ll want to give up

But I want you to know
that during the storms
I’ll always be there
keeping you warm
I’ll always be there
holding you in my arms

Because of all the people
to travel life through
I’m glad to be traveling with you
