No Applause Poetry
This poem was written on October 4, 1991. I was bored at work (Re/Max VIP Realtors) so I started writing. I finished it over my lunch break at our apartment in Green Valley.

Little Varmint

Scurry, scurry, scurry
little varmint
don’t you worry
why you always
in a hurry
little boy, little boy

Wait, wait, wait
there’s no need
to rush your fate
Time will always
keep her date
So enjoy!  So enjoy!

Play, play, play
don’t work and toil
all night and day.
Find the laughter
in your ways.
Carry on, carry on.

Live, love, learn.
Let the passion
in you burn.
Be a kid
and take your turn.
Now move along, move along.
